SA048 HDLR Cloud Dev Ops Data Engineer

DRL (Heliophysics Digital Resource Library) seeks a talented individual to fill a position as a Cloud Dev Ops Data Engineer team member. This person will be primarily responsible for data engineering of the HDRL cloud-based data cache as well as other dev ops duties as assigned. This person will take the lead in developing and maintaining software, metadata and the operations for the HDRL cloud-based data cache which currently contains data in the amount of ~1 PB and 200+ million files. 

A successful candidate will have a BS or the equivalent in computer science or physical sciences and have demonstrated ability to develop software in python and bash scripting (2+ years). Familiarity with heliophysics data formats (FITS, CDF) and/or cloud-based formats (zarr, xarray) as well as AWS services is a plus. Demonstrated ability to work within a fast-based technical operations team environment is also required.   

US Citizenship is required for this position.
