Artwork by SESDA II multi-media specialists graced the cover of the April 2009 issue of Discover Magazine for a story on the Solar Probe Plus mission that is scheduled for launch in 2015. Using actual data from the Solar and Heliospheric Observatory, staff created an artist’s rendition of what the Solar Probe mission is likely to encounter as it approaches to within an unprecedented 4 million miles of the solar surface.
