Large Scale MMS LEGO Model!

A large 1/10 scale model of the Magnetospheric Multiscale (MMS) spacecraft made entirely out of LEGO® bricks is on display at the Goddard Space Flight Center. Guided by SESDA 3 education specialists and using illustrations of the spacecraft provided by NASA engineers, a selected student team at West Virginia University carefully sifted through more than 2,000 LEGO® pieces to assemble the spacecraft model. The team also designed and built a smaller 300-piece MMS model.
