New IT Security Awareness Campaign

November 30, 2015

It’s the season for holiday greetings and along with genuine wishes arriving in your inbox, you may find unsolicited emails including phishing attacks. NASA is regularly a target as well – as you have probably seen in the messages concerning a phishing attack via NOMAD on Nov 18, 2015. In both cases (work or home emails) NEVER (never ever!!!!!*) click on any links that you have not verified to be authentic. When in doubt it is always good to check with your trusted System Administrator BEFORE taking any potentially damaging actions.

Hope your holiday season is enjoyable and free of IT troubles – and, as an additional security tip – after you have followed all the best IT practices, watch out for people knocking on your door with wrenches 🙂
