SS113 Junior Programmer

ADNET is seeking to hire a junior Java software developer to work at the NASA

Space Science Data Coordinated Archive (NSSDCA) at Goddard Space Flight Center. Duties include maintenance and enhancement of existing interfaces that interact with NSSDCA’s information database such as the NSSDCA Master Catalog and various internal staff interfaces. These duties include tracking bug reports, prioritizing software corrections, and documenting requirements.

Required:

  •     Two years programming experience, at least one using Java
  •     Experience using an IDE for software development
  •     Experience with the use of configuration management software
  •     Experience with HTML/XHTML
  •     Experience with web frameworks
  •     Experience with web server software
  •     Ability to work in a structured programming environment
  •     Ability to work in a group and meet scheduled deliveries
  • US Citizenship or Permanent Residency (LPR) required, with US residency for the past 3 consecutive years.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Tier 1 Investigation through NASA.

Desired Skills:

  •     BS in computer science or related field
  •     Experience using Eclipse
  •     Experience with Git
  •     Experience with Cascading Style Sheets
  •     Experience with XML, XSLT
  •     Experience with Struts 2
  •     Experience with Apache httpd and Tomcat
  •     Experience with PL/SQL
  •     Experience with JDBC and databases, especially Oracle
  •     Experience with Redmine
