SESDA CREW Awards

Message from the SESDA II Program Manager:Through the Peer Awards, CREW Awards, and other programs, ADNET and our Team ADNET company partners place tremendous emphasis on employee recognition. Its importance is hard to overestimate: studies of turnover in the workplace have shown that the two most important factors in retaining employees – both more important than salary! – are offering challenging jobs, and providing recognition. Certainly here at Goddard Space Flight Center, the first of those is largely a given: practically everything we do here supports NASA’s colossal accomplishments at the very pinnacle of human achievement. Our goal is to have all of our staff performing important, challenging, and gratifying work that yields not only an important sense of self satisfaction but also delights our NASA customer.

Whereas the Peer Awards allow us to recognize and reward our coworkers, the CREW Awards — “Customer Recognition of Exemplary Work” — honor those employees who have been singled out by our NASA customers. It is a testament to the professionalism and dedication of our staff that every year, when solicited by ADNET management for CREW nominations, dozens of our customers take the time and effort to cite in writing — often eloquently and at length — how impressed they are with particular Team ADNET staff members, and how important those staff to their own success.

Like the Peer awardees, the CREW award recipients are living reminders that our primary goal is supporting our customers, and that we are fellow contributors to NASA’s success. I would like to congratulate and thank them all for being the best possible face of Team ADNET.
