Goddard Space Flight Center’s Heliophysics Science Division (HSD) seeks a DevOps Cloud Engineer to support HelioCloud (https://heliocloud.org). Duties include helping to design, build and maintain a stable and efficient infrastructure based in AWS. The candidate will be responsible for development of container images, the creation and design of both user-facing and infrastructural services based on python, helping to monitor, troubleshoot, maintain, and continuously improve building, packaging, and deployment of cloud-based capabilities and related software, and assisting in operation of a cloud-based research production environment and the implementing of automated infrastructure capabilities like backups, security tools, monitoring.

Skills required:

• 5 or more years of experience with both Python and shell scripting.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Working knowledge of DevOps.
• Familiarity with AWS services, such as S3, Lambda, and EC2 and/or a background in scientific computing are a plus.
• Hybrid work schedule is available.
