This position is for a User Interface (UI) Developer or engineer interested in data driven web applications. We seek a highly motivated individual with 1-4 years of experience developing web-based applications using JavaScript frameworks.
We are currently looking for a UI Developer to work with a team of UI/UX/service developers and Earth Science domain experts. The UI Developer needs to have a broad range of programming skills with strong understanding of JavaScript, HTML5 and software development concepts, such as continuous integration, unit testing, object-oriented design/programming, event driven programming in JavaScript. The candidate should bring strong vision and a penchant for applying new technologies for Web applications.

Responsibilities:
• Code using AngularJS, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS
• Work with UI developers and customers to develop, revise and improve web user interface with user experience (UX) in mind

Required:
• BS computer sciences (MS desirable) or related field
• 1-5 years of hands-on experience in developing user interfaces and web applications using client-side technologies
• 1-5 years of experience in web technologies using jQuery, AngularJS, Polymer and React
• Experience in deploying applications based on Node.js and AngularJS
• Experience in Test Driven Development and using test frameworks such as Protractor, Karma or Jasmine
• Experience leveraging opensource technologies
• Experience developing in an Agile environment, preferably Scrum, with inter-disciplinary teams
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in working with internal and external customers
• US Citizenship or Permanent Residency
Desired:
• Experience developing using MEAN (MongoDB, Express.js, Node.js) stack
• Experience with container technologies such as Docker
• Knowledge of data visualization techniques and libraries
• Experience in a civilian government-contracting environment
