ES199 Science Data Operator

Help operate science data processing and serve as a backup science data  operator. Coordinate, monitor, and enter plans for running jobs. Monitor system for system anomalies. Required to work full time 2-3 weeks a year.  

Required:

  • Experience with Linux or another Unix like operating system (at least 6 months)
  • Some college experience or a current college student
  • This job is in support of the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center’s SESDA IV contract and therefore requires US citizenship or a permanent residency

Desired:

  • An understanding of earth science data processing systems
  • Familiarity with ozone production chain
  • Ability to troubleshoot system failures and communicate clearly
